Historic Homes, Gardens and Houses of Worship
Saturday, June 20, 2026 from 10 to 2 pm
By all accounts, the Historic House & Garden Tour was a tremendous success. Throughout the day, we heard many positive comments praising the friendly and welcoming homeowners and docents, the beautiful homes and gardens, the tour’s walkability, the smooth organization, and the well-researched, thoughtfully written tour booklet.
An event of this scale requires months of planning and countless meetings, emails, phone calls, and site visits. Committee Co-Chairs Jeff Robinson and Annie Parker devoted extraordinary time and energy to making this year’s tour both engaging and distinctive. They were joined by a dedicated committee that included Geniene Marco, Tour Booklet; Morgan Decker, Social Media and Docent Coordination; and Irene Drago, Research.
Many others contributed to the tour’s success. SPI Board members served as docents throughout the day, while Curtis Henderson created the stunning floral arrangement at the Winter Street Center, Joe Minott managed facilities, Kirsti Huotari and Jackie Berry handled finances and day-of ticket sales, former Board member Martha Bourque oversaw registration, and Kim Heithoff served as a house host.
This beloved community event is made possible by the generosity of homeowners, gardeners, volunteers, and supporters who share their time, talents, and properties with our visitors. We thank all of our wonderful business sponsors, including our lead sponsor Bath Savings Institution. We also appreciate the beautiful bouquets created by Bath Garden Club members with local flowers and the Montsweagers for sharing their musical talents.
On behalf of Sagadahoc Preservation, Inc. and the Winter Street Center, thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s Historic House & Garden Tour such a memorable success.
